    Job Title: Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy Skills

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in an outpatient cancer facility. The role involves interacting with a high volume of patients, as our location sees patients a day. Your daily tasks will include drawing and processing labs, calling patients back, monitoring physician schedules, escorting patients from the front to the room, conducting depression and pain scale screenings, and documenting information for physicians. Please note that while you will draw labs, you will not be responsible for processing them.

    Hard Skills:

    • Proficiency in Phlebotomy with a strong comfort level in performing draws
    • Experience as a Medical Assistant

    Soft Skills:

    • Ability to work efficiently in a multi-floor environment
    • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and team members
    • Attention to detail for accurate documentation and screening processes

    Work Environment:

    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The facility is an adult care environment, as we do not provide services in pediatrics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Seeking candidates with strong experience in phlebotomy who have long-term career aspirations and are willing to travel to our sites in Deland, Orange City, and Lake Mary.

    Contract Details:

    This is a Contract to Hire position with an initial duration of 4 months.
