    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Consumer and Small Business Banking as part of Consumer Technology. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at

    The candidate will work as part of an Intelligent Automation Engineering team within Consumer Technology in the design, development and implementation of automated solutions. This is a hands-on lead developer role with strong development skills and ability to work with advanced automations using technologies like Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Low-code technologies like Microsoft Power Platforms, Alteryx etc.

    In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorRequired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • 4+ years of leading solution design and development of large software initiatives.Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ year of UiPath Robotic Process Automation (RPA) development experience
  • UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer (UiARD)
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • 3+ years of Experience with Python, or Java or C# programming or scripting languages
  • Strong in depth knowledge and understanding of web systems: architecture or design
  • Knowledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) disciplines such as Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technologyJob Expectations:
