Job summary
Under the direct supervision of the surgeon and the circulating nurse and overall direction of the Assistant Managers, OR Manager, Director of Surgical Services and Vice President of Patient Care ServicesThe technologist handles instruments supplies and equipment necessary during surgical procedure. Has an understanding of procedure being performed and anticipates needs of surgeon.
Has knowledge ability to ensure quality patient care during operative procedure constantly vigil for maintenance sterile field.
