    About the Role

    The company looks to this role to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company's products and/or related services. Your primary focus will be personally contacting and securing new business accounts/customers.

    Core Functions


    • Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach


    • Demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs


    • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule Responsibilities


    • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization's products and services


    • Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads


    • Travel to customer locations to communicate with established and prospective customers to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs


    • Use sales techniques and product knowledge to upsell or cross-sell existing clients within territory


    • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses


    • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques


    • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments


    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management


    • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale


    • Analyze the territory/market's potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customer's value to the organization


    • Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities


    • Plan and organize personal sales strategy to meet company goals, optimizing planned daily work schedule


    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    Education & Experience


    • 3+ years of proven sales success


    • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience within manufacturing
