Brook Plaza Ambulatory Surgical Center is a multispecialty center seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician. The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve the highest quality of care for our patients. We offer a competitive salary. Job Summary:
Assists with the nursing care of patients, in the perioperative setting under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Performs 12 lead EKG, vital signs, IOP.
- Performs HCG and glucose tests.
- Assists patients in and out of bed, to bathroom and to locker room.
- Provides nourishments for patients..
- Restocks supplies as needed.
- Filing and other clerical duties as needed.
- Ability to work Sundays
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED
- At least one year of experience
- Knowledge of English
- Competent in performing vital signs and electrocardiograms
- Knowledge of basics clerical skills
- Ability to function in a high volume environment
Job Type: Full-time; Day shift
Hourly rate $24.00 – $26.00
