- Research complex accounting issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Analyze financial transactions and contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
- Prepare technical accounting memos documenting conclusions reached and supporting rationale.
- Interpret and apply accounting standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of financial statements and related disclosures and footnotes to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Manage investor reporting requirements including quarterly and annual financials and various milestones/KPIs
- Partner with various departments, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to address accounting-related matters.
- Advise on the accounting implications of business transactions and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Proactively assess internal controls and recommend enhancements to mitigate financial risks.
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
- Preference for Big Four public accounting experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
- Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on technical accounting; managerial experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Experience working with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
