    We are seeking a Senior Caregiver to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Brainerd, MN. As a Senior Caregiver, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

    Job Summary:

    The Senior Caregiver serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long-term care. You will provide age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
    • Assist residents with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support
    • Assist the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment
    • Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident

    Requirements:

    To be successful as a Senior Caregiver, you will need:

    • A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required
    • Minimum age of 16
    • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement

    Compensation:

    The estimated salary for this role is $19.38-$25.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, work/life balance benefits, and a generous time off package.
