    GENERAL PURPOSE:


    The Financial Analyst II will conduct specialized and complex analysis of financial data for both Strong Memorial and Highland Hospitals in support of Hospital Finance functions.

    Responsible for providing senior management with the analysis and information they need to make timely operational, financial, and strategic decisions.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Under general direction and with latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative:

    • Compiles and prepares financial statements for pharmacy department operations. Maintains complete financial records, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. Monitors cash flows, maintains property ledgers, depreciation schedules, and sales tax preparation as needed. Prepares reports for and communicates with external auditors.
    • Conducts specialized financial analysis and research on subjects such as program income statements, decision support analysis, new programs, and new products by utilizing all finance and pharmacy related systems including but not limited to Workday, Caretend, TPMS, and Willow. This analysis and research will be utilized by Pharmacy and Hospital Leadership.
    • Analyzes and interprets data, statistics and financial information and identifies significant differences in relationships among sources of information. Assesses opportunities for cost savings and business improvement in pharmacy utilization data and prepares statements for this purpose.
    • Prepares reports and recommendations based upon analysis of information gathered. Works with other departments including Finance, Compliance, and Office of Counsel.
    • Assists in the development and/or modification of Pharmacy Finance policies and procedures.
    • Keeps abreast of trends as they relate to pharmacy compliance and adapts new developments into planning, control and analytical processes.
    • Compiles and/or prepares reports, graphs and charts of data analyzed. Makes presentations on areas of research or analysis. Prepares conclusions, forecasts and makes recommendations based on research.
    • Trains new staff and current staff on new applications, policies, processes, and procedures.
    Other duties as assigned


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    • Previous Pharmacy Experience Preferred

    Pay Range

    Pay Range:
    $59,197 - $82,888 Annually
    _The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job.

    Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
