    Job Summary:

    The Paint Mixer follows production schedule to insure paint lines have correct and adequate paint supply to allow continuous production as required. Monitors inventories and maintains equipment used to mix chemicals and paints.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Execute the daily production schedule and make schedule changes as required.
    • Communicate with Line Technicians and production personnel regarding any product or schedule changes.
    • Clean and maintain the mixing equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent contamination.
    • Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
    • Monitor paint mix recipes to ensure all changes are accurately recorded and updated, maintaining consistency and quality.
    • Identify and organize incoming paint shipments, verifying accuracy and conducting a weekly inventory of paints and solvents.
    • Safely transport paint to and from the paint lines, ensuring timely delivery to support continuous production.
    • Perform any other job functions as assigned by the supervisor to support overall production operations.
    • Focus on safety, adhere to safety policies, and maintain a clean work area and plant to minimize hazards.
    • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required, contributing to process improvements and overall efficiency.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required
    • Previous experience in paint mixing or a related field is preferred, but not necessary
    • Prior experience in mixing 1k/2k paint is preferred, although not necessary.
    • Basic reading, writing, and math skills are required

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
    • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
