Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control as needed, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and store staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting appropriate personnel, and documenting actions taken.

Monitor entrances, exits, and other key locations to help manage access, observe for policy violations, and report suspicious behavior or hazardous conditions to site leadership.

Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and/or escalations to Allied Universal supervision and on-site management.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

CPR certification is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
