    Flatiron School is at the forefront of tech education, pioneering programs in Software Engineering, Data Science, Product Design, and Cybersecurity. Our mission is to empower diverse learners through cutting-edge education, equipping them for success in the ever-evolving tech landscape. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our team and support our marketing efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing within the education and technology sectors. This is a paid internship opportunity, up to 10 hours per week.

    Opportunities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing and community teams on community and social media strategy.
  • Assist in the development and execution of community building strategies.
  • Support the planning and coordination of a social media marketing calendar.
  • Monitor and moderate our online community and Discord server.
  • Own a branded social media account, interacting with users and responding to messages across various platforms.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms, blog posts, email newsletters, and other marketing channels.
  • Serve as a liaison between community members, stakeholders, and staff.

    • Qualifications:

  • Experience engaging with and/or managing a community and social media accounts.
  • Familiarity utilizing Discord and moderating a Discord community is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of social media marketing principles and concepts, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Skilled in social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Passion for education, technology, and helping others succeed.
