    SPEECH/LANGUAGE SPECIALIST (part-time, summer)

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Speech Language Specialist shall:
    1. Hold a valid New Jersey educational services certificate in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:27.1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. Title 6A Chapter 9 with a Speech Language Specialist or a Speech Language Specialist endorsement (N.J.A.C. 6A: and other appropriate endorsement(s).
    2. Demonstrate the ability to evaluate, provide therapy, and provide strategies for the prevention and remediation of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
    3. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
    4. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of speech-language pathology, child growth and development, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
    5. Demonstrate an understanding of current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Teams and special education assessment and program requirements.
    REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 1, August 1, 2024

    Two (2) days per week

    8:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

    RATE OF PAY: $43.00 per hour
