    Job Summary:


    The CDL Driver- Shed Delivery position is based at the Leonard Cobden, ILDistribution Center (DC) ,with operations in the U.S.

    and has overall responsibility for safely and efficiently transporting shed buildings and truck accessories to customers, ensuring timely deliveries, adherence to regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service.

    This position reports directly to the Distribution Center Manager and does not have direct reports.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Operates company-owned commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.

    Efficiently loads and unloads shed buildings and truck accessories onto/from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper securing of items to prevent damage during transit.

    Plans and executes delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers.

    Utilizes GPS and other navigation tools to optimize routes and minimize delays.

    Completes accurate and legible delivery documentation, including bills of lading (BOLs), delivery receipts, and any other required paperwork.

    Maintains organized records for each delivery.

    Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly.

    Keeps the vehicle clean and in good working condition.

    Provides exceptional customer service during deliveries, including courteous and professional communication.

    Addresses customer inquiries and concerns in a positive and timely manner.

    Strictly adheres to company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements related to transportation and delivery.

    Requirements:

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

    Proven experience as a CDL Driver, preferably in the transportation of oversized or specialized item Knowledge of safety regulations, traffic laws, and DOT regulations.


    Travel:
    This position requires approximately (90%) travel within the region.

    Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to PASS background/drug screen/ DOT Physical

    Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including shed buildings and truck accessories, as part of loading and unloading tasks.

    Stamina and physical fitness to perform duties that involve manual labor, including securing items during transportation.
    Agility and flexibility to navigate and move within the delivery vehicle's confined spaces.
    Physical dexterity to handle equipment, securements, and perform routine vehicle inspections.

    Adequate vision and hearing abilities to ensure safe operation of the delivery vehicle and respond to traffic signals and sounds.

    Comfort with spending extended periods sitting and driving during delivery routes.
    Overall good physical health to meet the demands of the transportation and delivery tasks associated with the role.
