SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position provides janitorial and dishwashing services for Webster Groves Facility. Cleans, administrative and common areas of the facility and keeps general use supplies replenished. Ensures that clean and orderly facilities are maintained. Completes all types of cleaning activities to maintain consistency of standards according to cGMP, SOP specifications.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide janitorial service in laboratory, research and office areas at the Webster Groves Facility. Clean rest rooms/locker rooms, break rooms and lab areas.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums and general housekeeping.
Collects and removes trash and recyclable such as cardboard, plastic, plastic bottles, glass etc.
Keeps dispensers in bathrooms, break areas and laboratory areas filled with general use supplies (e.g. paper towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.)Collect dirty glassware from lab and research areas. Run dishwasher for laboratory glassware as needed. Inspect all glassware for cracks, chips, and breaks and discard if defective. Return all clean glassware to proper storage and maintain storage area in clean and organized manner. Perform facility inspections as included but not limited to safety showers, fire extinguishers, and housekeeping.
Assist shipping/receiving with mail sorting and delivery.
Maintain inventory of supplies associated for this job description.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

HS diploma or equivalent, preferredExperience:One year of janitorial experience in an industrial environmentPreferred Skills/Qualifications:Must be able to read and write the English language.

Must be able to perform basic activities on the computer.

Must be able to be take simple directions and be self motivatedOther Skills:


WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position works within both an administrative office and laboratory environment, Must be physically fit to carry, push or pull 50lbs.

Must able to work in industrial/chemical environment. May be required to wear PPE when necessary.
