Description

Under immediate supervision, performing responsible skilled work in the operation of motorized equipment; does related work as required.

This position will operate a backhoe; dump truck and the crane truck if needed. Also, this position will operate, several other type mowers, tractors, power and hand tools. Must be familiar with the operation of iPads and iPhones,

High School or equivalent and some experience in the operation of heavy motorized equipment and construction and maintenance work. The ability to follow oral and written instruction.

Must be available to work overtime as needed and must be able to work a Mandatory scheduled on call rotation.

General knowledge of the principles of operating and servicing heavy construction equipment; thorough knowledge of the traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operation; thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary to the proper operations of varied construction and maintenance equipment; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.

mechanical aptitude; ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment. Also the ability to read a map, also a good knowledge of the city and county.

Possession of a valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License.
