    Job Description:
    At CoBank, the Senior Compensation Analyst acts as a reliable compensation expert for HR team, leadership and associates. Provides education and training on compensation to variety of audiences as needed. Active partner in the administration of the bank's merit, incentive and promotion processes. Provides day-to-day management of compensation program.

    Maintains job description library, coordinates periodic review of current job descriptions, and works with management on the creation of descriptions for new jobs.

    Maintains market data system, manages all market pricing and slotting, and provides market data analysis as requested. Participates in salary surveys. Prepares compensation-related documentation and communications.

    Essential Duties


    Actively provides the day-to-day administration of the compensation programs, including the annual merit and incentive process, semi-annual promotion process, job evaluations, job offer administration, and performance management activities.

    Responsible for the maintenance of the bank's job description library, including the periodic review of current job descriptions, and working with management on the creation of descriptions for new jobs.

    Develops and manages all job description templates in alignment with legal requirements.

    Participates in salary surveys on-time and within budget, and maintains market data matches and survey results in the market data management tool.

    Manages the integration of information into the data tool and from the tool to the HRIS system.
    Responsible for the partnership with HRIS to keep compensation information clean and accurate in the HRIS system.
    Functions as the compensation system expert for compensation module in partnership with HRIS.

    Prepares offer letters, status change forms, and related documentation supporting the compensation, employee relations, and recruiting and organizational development functions.

    Provides reporting and analytical support as requested.
    Participates in special projects, and performs other duties as assigned.

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


    Work Experience:
    Five (5) years of experience in compensation or relevant human resources experience; Two (2) years of direct experience with market data tool, salary surveys and job description template management;
    Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) strongly preferred

    Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage workload and projects in order to navigate peaks, prioritize competing commitments, and complete assignments in accordance with established deadlines.

    Ability to use critical thinking and judgement to think through recommendations to management related to compensation. Takes into account the enterprise and not a single group when making decisions. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
    Takes initiative to seek opportunities during the 'low' season and is constantly improving skills and works on cross-functional projects.
    Innovative thinker with skills in process improvement and utilizing technology to maximize value provided to the company.

    Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and consultative skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate, communicate and work effectively with associates and management at all levels across the bank, as well as outside customers and vendors.

    Excellent attention to detail, follow-through and customer service orientation.
    Experience utilizing HR information systems and tools, Ceridian Dayforce strongly preferred.
    Knowledge of compensation program administration activities and best practices, and familiarity with state and federal regulations affecting compensation administration.
    Experience conducting market pricing analysis, with the ability to identify appropriate market data matches and interpret market data results.
    Ability to understand customer needs and apply appropriate recommendations.
    Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism while working with confidential HR information.
    Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Intermediate proficiency in Excel (i.e. vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).

    About CoBank:
    The typical base pay range for this role is between $90,000-$125,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
