Description
Postdoc positions are available in the lab of Dr.Zhiyong Wang at Carnegie Institution for Science, Stanford, to work on research projects that investigate the signaling networks underlying plant growth and acclimation.
Possible research projects include investigations of the brassinosteroid signaling network, the O-glycosylation (O-GlcNAc and O-fucose) network, the crosstalk between nutrient-sensing O-glycosylation (O-GlcNAc and O-fucose) and hormone-regulated phosphorylation, and the functions of these signaling mechanisms in regulating cellular processes such as transcription, protein translation, protein degradation, vesicle trafficking, and cell division.
The research can involve a variety of approaches including genetics, proteomics, mass spectrometry, protein engineering, and chemical biology. The candidates are required to have a Ph.D in biology or biochemistry.
