    Polyglass USA, Inc., a premiere roofing materials manufacturer, has an opening for an Electrical Project Engineer located on-site in Winter Haven, FL. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with ideally 6+ years of progressive experience that includes a strong electrical background with equipment design and installation. CAPEX projects management and the ability to provide support and coordination with contractors and outside vendors relating to engineering projects are highly desired. This position may require up to 25% travel to multiple plant locations.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Oversees the successful development & implementation of projects related to process improvements, facility building upgrades and related safety improvements at the plant level.
    • Candidate shall demonstrate competency associated with all aspects of project management from concept to completion. Candidate will be responsible for establishing Capex project budgets and manage them within said guidelines.
    • Candidate shall work closely with all aspects of the business unit in the development of project deliverables through detailed specifications and scope of work documents which encompass the roadmap to successful project completion. Teambuilding is critical and the candidate needs to demonstrate a team-based decision-making approach to ensure project success.
    • The candidate shall manage their projects to budget and advise the Corporate Engineering Manager of any discrepancies resulting in an budgeting issues related to cap ex projects. Open and transparent communication with the Corporate Engineering Manager and to the business unit is critical.
    • Required to follow the following CAPEX progress protocols.
    • Issues monthly report summary of active and pending projects with a revised (if necessary) time to completion estimate, cost estimate etc.
    • Advises and suggest improvements to plant operations to facilitate Polyglass quality initiatives, plant safety initiatives, employee quality of work environment and process improvement initiatives.
    • Confers with management, production, and other support personnel to discuss project specifications and procedures.
    • Coordinates and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
    • Plans and directs the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
    • Prepares budgets, bids, and contracts.
    • Reviews and recommends or approves contracts and cost estimates.
    • Presents and explains proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
    • Consults or negotiates with customers to prepare project specifications.
    • Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.
    • Promotes ethical, health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Performs other duties as required.
    • Ability to be flexible and manage many assignments or projects at the same time.
    • Leads, manages, and understands timelines and critical paths.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Experience in leading Capital Projects, with a focus on electrical systems
    • 5 + Years of proven project management with successful execution track records on safety, quality, cost, and delivery expectations in a manufacturing setting
    1. Technical experience with demonstrated experience with the following areas:
    2. Programming and advanced troubleshooting of PLCs
    3. SCADA Development, Support, and Implementation
    4. Networking / data communications
    5. Servers, Virtual Machines, and related software
    6. Industrial Controls experience
    7. VFDs & Servo Drives to include new installations, specifications commissioning, and troubleshooting / support
    8. High, Medium, & Low voltage electrical systems
    9. Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Proficient in Microsoft office products, AutoCad (2014 or later) is preferred but not required, servers, virtual machines, Remote desktop, SQL programming a plus, access database management a plus. Knowledge & exposure to HMI software such as In-Touch, Historian Client, & MES. PLC programming in S7 & TIA Portal experience preferred.
    • Bachelors Degree Engineering Required. BSEE and/or MSEE degree strongly desired.

    Relocation to the Winter Haven, FL area will be provided at the companys expense.
