    Responsible for performing various technical tasks on a variety of R&D projects as assigned by engineering.

    These tasks include, but are not limited to test method development and execution, fixture design and fabrication, equipment programming and qualification, prototyping, data collection and analysis.

    Perform experiments and tests on a variety of projects as assigned by engineering.
    Assist in the generation of documentation (i.e. drawings, specs, procedures, travelers, etc) required to support new product development projects.
    Troubleshoot and suggest creative solutions to design and testing issues.
    Coordinate and execute building of prototypes/products per engineering design and instruction as required.
    Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
    Perform assembly and testing of small tubing components by adhesive bonding, or heat reflowing.

    Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages and possibly ability to analyze data using basic statistics.

    Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

    Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

    Technical Diploma or equivalent work experience

    Minumin 10 yrs experience with assembly or testing of parts.
    Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes and lab equipment required.
    Requires solid computer skills using Microsoft Office, Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.
    Experience using MasterCam CAM software would be preferred.

    Be able to set up, and operate machining equipment used to produce or modify prototype parts, fixtures or products for new product development per engineering design and instruction.

    Inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
    Mechanical and electrical assembly of equipment.
    Knowledge of and experience in using grinders, lathes, drill presses and CNC equipment
    Trouble-shooting experience with electrical, mechanical equipment.
    Ability to read and understand mechanical prints, schematics and procedures
    Assist in the generation of documentation (i.e. drawings, specs, procedures, travelers, etc) required to support new product development projects.
    Troubleshoot and suggest creative solutions to process and design issues.
    Complete hands-on electronics work. This includes design, debug and build of circuitry, specialty cables, and other parts in a lab environment.
    Knowledge of Solidworks, Minitab, Labview are pluses but not required.
    Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
    Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
    Occasional or Regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of this position.
