    Job Description Job Description SummaryThe SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Senior Manager owns and executes guidance on SEC disclosure requirements for the 10-Q, 10-K, and proxy filings and is the lead preparer of the financial statements and footnotes in compliance with US GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements.

    The SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Senior Manager leads the application of technical accounting guidance including the preparation of technical memos and manages the administration of the company's equity plans, including working directly with the vendor to ensure all equity grants are appropriately uploaded and administered.


    Principal Duties/Responsibilities:


    Own and execute guidance on SEC disclosure requirements for the 10-Q,10-K, and proxy filingsManage the company's iXBRL reporting and control frameworkLead the preparation of the financial statements and footnotes in compliance with US GAAP and SEC disclosure requirementsLead and project manage the SEC filings drafting process by engaging and aligning stakeholders including management, external auditors, and legal counselDrive completion of the US GAAP and SEC reporting checklists to support quarterly SEC filings and internal controlsResearch accounting literature and apply technical accounting standards to complex business issues and transactionsLead the preparation of written accounting position papers on an as-needed basis for review by management and external auditorsResponsible for disclosures relating to the implementation of new accounting pronouncements when applicablePartner to assist with the company's SOX compliance efforts, including maintenance of the control documentation and compliance over the financial reporting processesImplementation of new stock plan administrator and related policies and proceduresManage the administration of the company's equity plans, including working directly with the vendor contact to ensure all equity grants are appropriately uploaded and administeredEvaluation of the underlying accounting and recognition of stock compensation expense as part of the quarterly financial statement closeAdditional responsibilities within reasonable scope of the position may be requested by managementQualifications:CPA required or in process of completingExperience with Wdesk or other web-based reporting system is a priorityMinimum of 5 years of combined accounting/SEC reporting experienceStrong demonstrated experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting, including familiarity with iXBRL reportingPharmaceutical / Life Science industry experience preferredExcellent written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail; and the ability to synthesize informationStrong relationship building and management in a matrix organizationExcellent project management experienceMust be able and willing to work extended, non-traditional hours as needed during peak periodsWork EnvironmentThe function of the role and where the day-to-day completion of the related tasks take place is flexible.

    Successful applicants will be able to function throughout the office environment and remotely. Responsibilities include a work schedule that can require working outside of 'normal' work hours, to meet business demands.
