    AMS Silicon validation Engineer (Analog Mixed Signal Validation Engineer)

    Bay Area, CA

    Permanent Role

    The main function of an AMS silicon validation engineer is to perform lab characterization and validation of various analog & mixed signal circuits and collaborate with multi-functional teams to bring the world class silicon system into market.

    Job Responsibilities:

    1.Bench setup, test, debug and characterization of on-chip AMS circuitry (LDO, PLL, Data Converter, Temp Sensor, and various I/O interfaces, etc)

    2.Developing scripts to automate tests, extract results, and generate reports using database and analytical tools, and compare measured performance against design specifications

    3.Preparing silicon validation and characterization plan in consultation with design team

    4.Defining requirements for test equipment's and silicon validation boards, including PCB schematic and layout

    5.Collaborating with cross functional teams including Chip Lead, Vendor, SOC, Validation Firmware, and System EE, etc

    Skills:

    1.Experience in AMS test development that includes: review specification document; draft validation plan; build test bench; and perform data collection with automation

    2.Experience in testing of PMIC, High Speed I/O, Data Converter, Temp Sensor, etc.

    3.Proficient in lab instruments such as Oscilloscope, Source Meter, Waveform Generator, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Thermal Chamber, BERT, etc.

    4.Experience in scripting language, python preferred, to automate test and analyze data

    5.Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.

    6.Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.

    7.Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.

    8.Strong verbal and written communication skills
