    Position Responsibilities:
    1. Accurately performs the assigned responsibility demonstrating specific knowledge and competency in the respective role. Provides a concept on assigned responsibilities.2. Observes safety and compliance guidelines when operating specialized equipment or performing specific routines / processes. Follows appropriate departmental standards and practices.3. Performs routine maintenance on general equipment or processes as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Reports all equipment / process malfunctions and areas of opportunity.4. Assembles department related data for periodic reviews and/or special projects as assigned.5. Anticipates upcoming situations. Provides feedback on possible action plans and outcomes.6. Monitors the implementation of assigned tasks until the end. Provides feedback on the outcome as required.7. Verifies accuracy and validity of results. Prepares written documentation as required by the role and the department.8. Reports incidents to supervisor and Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.9.

    Follows the National Patient Safety goals as required:
    'Improve accuracy of patient identification with at least two identifiers (excluding patient's room number).Improve the effectiveness of communication among caregivers.
    Improve the safety of using medications.

    Reduce the risk of health care-associated infections on MDRO, CAUTI, CLABSI, and SSI.Accurately and completely reconcile medications across the continuum of care.

    Reduce the risk of patient harm resulting from falls.
    Conduct a pre-operative verification process as described in the Universal Protocol.
    Mark the operative site as described in the Universal Protocol.
    Conduct a ''time-out'' immediately before starting the procedure as described in the Universal Protocol.
    Staff competency to assess the risk for suicide'10.

    Follows Patient Safety goals as established by the department; supports effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provides an on-going proactive approach to reduce risk; integrates patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.11.

    Is available to participate as a member of either Team A or Team B of the Hurricane Activation Plan, as assigned.12.

    Reports incidents to supervisor and Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.13. Complies with current Hospital security and safety polices.14. All other tasks as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    Licensure/Registration/Certification :

    Current license as a Radiologic Technologist with or without the Cardiac-Interventional Radiography-RT ( R)(CI) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography-RT( R)(VI) credentialing from the ARRT.

    Or credentialed by the CCI as a RCIS, RCES or a CCT.


    BLS/ACLS certification requiredEducation :
    High school diploma or GED and a graduate of an education program in Radiologic Science, Cardiovascular Technology or Practical Nursing
