    Job Responsibilities

    With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

    This position is located at the SC Dept. of Mental Health at Santee-Wateree Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) at the Camden Clinic, in the Children, Adolescents and Families services program, located at 2611 Liberty Hill Road, Camden, S.C

    Under general supervision, provides advanced counseling and emergency services in the complex areas of mental health for children, adolescents and families within the Center's community mental health program co-located in a public school as part of the SB Expansion/CAF RI Project. Executes specialized CAF programs and services as directed.
    1. Provides an array of community mental health services in a culturally competent manner. Clinical services to be performed as privileged will include, but not limited to assessment, crisis intervention, individual, group, and family therapy. Participates in treatment team/staffing and administrative meetings as designated. Formulates plans of care. Maintains accurate and timely medical records. Adheres to DMH, Corporate Compliance, Fire and Safety, CARF, QA and HIPAA standards.
    2. Confers with school personnel in a consultative manner on issues related to children and adolescents in regards to mental health. Participates with school personnel in parent-teacher conferences and other designated school meetings to offer appropriate consultation, referrals, and mental health service as needed. Develops, arranges, and facilitates services for the assigned case load during periods when school is not in session, ensuring that services do not lapse during these periods of time.
    3. Provides case management and ancillary services to children and their families in coordination with the local school districts, DMH, and other child serving agencies in order to facilitate the total treatment of assigned patients.
    4. Participates in treatment team meetings/staffing and administrative meetings as designated; adheres to Corporate Compliance, Fire and Safety, CARF and HIPPA standards.
    5. Active participation in data collection and assimilation for reporting outcomes as required.
    6. Travel throughout the Santee- Wateree CMHC catchment area as directed.
    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    State Minimum Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences, or a related field
    Note: Applicants must also meet Agency minimum requirements to be considered for this position.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Prefer candidates licensed as LPC, LMSW, LISW, LMFT, and/or CAC-I/II Certification.
    **Recent graduating students preparing for above licensure are encouraged to apply.

    Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
