    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Sudbury Lumber Company is seeking an energetic and hardworking individual to join the team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. The position duties include coordinating and scheduling daily shipments, work with yard foreman for shipping routes and loading vehicles, verifying deliveries according to purchase orders and other essential duties as needed.

    Requirements:
    • Coordinate and schedule daily shipments for all drivers.
    • Work with yard foreman to optimize shipping routes and loads on all vehicles.
    • Coordinates and communicates with other locations for deliveries or intercompany transfers.
    • Redirection of Drivers while out on regular route.
    • Responsible for scheduling the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
    • Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate receipt of items and ensuring that all pricing and quantities are accurate before receiving in the computer system.
    • Verify deliveries according to purchase order and invoices by comparing invoices to purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match invoiced product. (quantity, quality, price etc.)
    • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control audits.
    • Responsible for sorting and preparing all delivery/receiving paperwork.
    • Keep all areas cleaned and neat to facilitate efficient receiving processes.
    • Keep management aware of any delays or discrepancies with suppliers or shippers.
    • Greet and assist customers at sales counter.
    • Treat all customers, vendors, and coworkers in a helpful and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
    • Provide a high level of service to all customers and be able to communicate and interact with a respectful, positive, and pleasant manner.
    • Be able to follow through and complete routine and special tasks in a timely and professional manner with a minimum amount of supervision
    • Ability to be at work on time and for the fully scheduled shift
    • Other general tasks as necessary to the normal functioning of the lumberyard

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma or General Education Degree
    • Strong communication skills
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds
    • Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shift which includes two 4 hr. shifts on Saturdays per month.
    • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to read and interpret orders and invoices.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
    • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
    • Experience working in a team atmosphere.
    • Knowledge of dimension lumber, panel products, and other building materials is preferred
    • Bistrack experience preferred.
