    Description

    Position Summary:

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance team with day-to-day accounting activities including, Accounts Payable and Claims Billing functions, as well as assisting the Finance team with month-end closing activities and producing company's financial statements.

    Essential Functions:
    • Prepare journal entries and assist with the preparation of financial statements in a timely manner.
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Assist with commission reports.
    • Process remote bank deposits.
    • Support AP clerk with processing positive pay and printing checks as needed.
    • Support internal billing team by processing claims and invoices as needed.
    • Support 1099 tax reporting.
    • Assist with audits.
    • Other duties as required and as assigned.
    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • At least 2 years of experience in accounting with full understanding of US GAAP
    • Experience with ERP systems
    • Working knowledge of the accounting processes

    • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
    • MS Office (Outlook, Teams, with Advanced Excel)
