Position: Sr. Principal Chief Engineer - Space Hardware IPT Lead

Location: Linthicum, MD

The ideal candidate will lead cross-discipline engineering teams, ranging from 5-25 individuals, collaborating with various departments to achieve project goals. This role allows for a hybrid work option, but candidates must reside locally.

Responsibilities:

Direct engineering teams across proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases
Support proposal development and new program acquisition
Manage project budgets, schedules, and critical path milestones
Collaborate with suppliers and articulate project requirements
Brief internal and customer leadership on project progress
Thrive in a fast-paced, diverse, and collaborative work environment

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 9 years of experience, or equivalent
Leadership experience in project planning, cost management, and technology
Expertise in RF, Electrical, Digital, Mechanical Designs, or Embedded Processing
US Citizenship required, with ability to obtain and maintain security clearances

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in leadership roles with demonstrated team building skills
Proficiency in project scheduling and problem-solving
PMP certification is advantageous
Active TS/SCI clearance with counterintelligence polygraph preferred

Salary Range: $127,000 - $190,600

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive compensation package based on various factors. Employees may be eligible for bonuses and long-term incentives in addition to benefits such as health insurance, life and disability coverage, retirement savings, paid holidays, and PTO.
