- Trauma-Informed Leadership: Provide regular supervision, coaching, and feedback to direct reports, establish clear expectations and guidelines, and offer supervision and support to reduce vicarious trauma.
- Treatment Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly treatment team meetings to collaborate with the team to best meet the needs of the youth being served.
- Program Knowledge: Learn all aspects of the program through regular engagement with each team member to understand their work and provide guidance and backup support as needed.
- Intake Process: Oversee the intake process for the residential program, including reviewing and tracking all residential referrals.
- Permanency Planning: Support case planning staff in determining the type of permanency intervention needed for youth and educate them about the positive impact of Family Finding and/or Wendy's Wonderful Kids permanency services.
- Database Management: Attain proficiency in all program databases and regularly run reports to monitor program data, including length of stay, referrals, staff workloads, client roster, and compliance with C+FS and oversight agency requirements.
- Client Services: Ensure that client services, standards, and practices are provided to the satisfaction of all C+FS and oversight agency standards.
- Documentation: Ensure that all residential case planning staff develop, maintain, and update all required documentation in a timely manner using effective written and oral communication.
- Communication: Model and practice sensitivity, fair treatment, and acceptance of diversity in all interpersonal interactions and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including parents and foster families.
- Hiring and Personnel Issues: Participate in hiring personnel and address all personnel issues in a timely manner.
- Additional Duties: While this job description covers many aspects of the role, employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field and five years' experience in child welfare or related field, required.
- Two years' minimum of supervisory experience required.
- Unrestricted, valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.
- Specialized training/expertise in trauma-informed care.
- Ability to complete all onboarding requirements.
- Variable scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
- Daily physical demands: sitting (up to 6 hours), occasional standing (up to 2 hours), occasional walking (up to 2.5 hours), occasional driving (up to 4 hours), occasional balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching forward or down, reaching overhead, running, and twisting (up to 2.5 hours).
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required, including frequent ability to grasp in both hands and continuous use of fine manipulation skills in both hands.
- Ability to change positions as needed.

The Child and Family Services Residential Program provides a supportive environment for up to 46 children across three specialized programs. Focused on healing and growth, our dedicated staff delivers treatment in small-group settings, helping children and families overcome obstacles and address traumatic experiences that have impacted their ability to live at home.
Through comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision, we equip children and families with the skills needed for a successful transition, either back to their home or to an alternative living arrangement.
