    Job Summary

    We are looking for a controls design engineer with knowledge of building automation systems including HVAC controls, electrical systems monitoring, and building system integration.

    A highly motivated self-starter with exceptional communication and computer skills is required to assist engineering staff with building controls system design and AutoCAD/Revit drafting.

    The role will include coordinating with the current staff controls engineers, the design team project management staff, and mechanical and electrical engineers, providing engineering services supporting multiple projects from conceptual through detailed design, construction administration, and commissioning.

    Core Responsibilities
    AutoCAD/Revit drafting to meet corporate or customer CAD standards and guidelines.
    input for detailed BMS design documentation including sequence of operations, points lists, network riser diagrams, and instrumentation specifications.
    Submittal Review, RFI responses, and field observations related to controls.
    in job site investigations and construction observations related to BMS projects.
    Equipment Factory Witness Testing and Software Bench Testing.

    Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or other appropriate degree from an accredited College or University.

    Essential Requirements
    Superior oral and written communication skills.
    Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam).
    Knowledge of AutoCAD.
    Familiarity with Revit, PLCs, and HVAC system concepts is preferable.

    Salary Range
    This is an on-site role in our San Jose, CA office. The expected salary range for candidates who will work in San Jose, CA, $70,000 - $80,000.

    The final offer to our new team member will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the length, breadth, and depth of experience within the job and the industry, education, etc.
