Forging Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forging Engineer with at least 3 years of experience.

As a Forging Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of forging processes in our manufacturing operations while working with the manufacturing and research personnel to clarify requirement related to performance, cost and cycle time.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop forging processes for new products
• Optimize existing forging processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost
• Create and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design for manufacturability and feasibility
• Identify and resolve forging related issues by conducting root cause analysis
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forging processes.
• Writes technical documents clearly and accurately; Transfers technical data into meaningful written documents that can be understood by all levels of the organization.
• Coordinates and analyses experiment to validate process and uses statistical methods.

• B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering, or related field
• At least 8+ years of materials and processes engineering experience directly related to aerospace flight programs (level commensurate with experience).
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to read and interpret product design drawings and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of metallurgy and material science is a plus
• Experience in aerospace industry is preferred
• Expertise in at least one of the following processes: Closed die forging, Hot die forging, Rolling and associated processes (Heat Treat, NDE, etc.)
• Versed in the use of information technologies at all stages of development (on-line literature search, data processing, written communication, and presentations) and other contemporary methods together with a range of approaches.
