- Assist in the planning and implementation of basketball practice.
- Assist in the organization and administration of team travel and home game management.
- Individual player development: skill, conditioning, and speed training.
- Mentor and develop students both on and off the court.
- Remain knowledgeable of and adhere to NCAA regulations.
- Scouting of opponents: run film exchange, scout opponents, and write scouting reports.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes.
- Assist with fundraising efforts for women's basketball.
- Foster the academic achievement and physical well-being of student-athletes.
- Teach physical education and activities courses depending on education and experience.
- Other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Position Summary
Whitworth University is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Athletics community as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.
In this role you will provide leadership and support to student-athletes while assisting in the coaching and development of our women's basketball team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the women's basketball, possess a desire to lead women athletes, and demonstrate a commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes both on and off the court.

Schedule
Full time (.83 FTE) | 10 months | 40 hours per week
Successful candidate must possess a valid drivers license.
A background check and sexual misconduct check will be required of the successful candidate.
