    Talascend is currently seeking a CI Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Detroit, MI.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Support Business Plan Deployment

    Drive Safety Management of Change for Product and People

    Support Manufacturing System (GMS) CI team

    Drive Continuous Improvement in the Manufacturing Excellence Indices (MEI) strategic planning

    Coordinate Factory assist re-allocations

    Improve Service / Obsolete die management and storage

    Lead and Assist in Operations Excellence (Op Ex) projects

    Coach/Mentor Group Leaders in Op Ex

    Lead Continuous improvement initiatives with Plant Operations

    Lead / Support Cost Improvement Initiatives

    Be a Change agent (Innovate Now, Look Ahead, Be Bold)


    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    Understanding of Problem-Solving tools, i.e. 5-Why, DMAIC, Fishbone, Trend Charts, etc.

    Ability to analyze information

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Excellent computer skills:
    Microsoft Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint/Project

    High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. Collaborative.

    High level of analytical & problem-solving ability where issues are abstract and difficult

    Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area

    Has the functional and technical skills to perform the job at a high level of accomplishment

    Creative, Innovative, Managing positive change.

    Planning successful transitions

    Previous manufacturing experience

    Bachelor's degree
