Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Exterior Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related concerns, and support access control and resident interactions with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and partner with site staff. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Monitor for unusual activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations, and take appropriate action to help to deter incidents while maintaining a professional presence.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, alarms, and resident concerns.

Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Be 21+ years of age.

Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.

Guard Card/License - preferred.

Customer Service Experience - preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
