    A well-known company in the Philadelphia Suburbs is seeking an experienced Senior Virtualization Architect who possesses a deep understanding of SAN technologies, Azure cloud infrastructure, and VMware virtualization solutions.

    As a key member of their medium sized IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualization solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and scalability across this organization.


    Responsibilities:

    Virtualization Architecture Design:
    Design and architect virtualization solutions based on business requirements, utilizing SAN, Azure, and VMware technologies.

    Infrastructure Optimization:
    Analyze existing virtualization infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

    Deployment and Configuration:
    Lead the implementation and configuration of virtualization platforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and applications.

    Capacity Planning:
    Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to support current and future business needs, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

    Security and Compliance:
    Implement security best practices and compliance standards within virtualized environments, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

    Disaster Recovery and High Availability:

    Design and implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions for virtualized environments to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.


    Technical Leadership:
    Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, mentoring them in virtualization best practices and methodologies.

    Vendor Management:
    Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate new technologies, products, and services related to virtualization.

    Documentation and Reporting:
    Create comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures. Generate regular reports on the performance and health of virtualized environments.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    Minimum of 8 years of experience in virtualization architecture and implementation.
    Proficiency in SAN technologies, Azure cloud services, and VMware virtualization platforms.
    Strong understanding of networking, storage, and server infrastructure.
    Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) for deployment and management tasks.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in virtualized environments.
    Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
