General Summary:
Develop broad understanding and application of the automotive industry standards and continually strive for improvements and excellence in all facets of the business.
Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and investigate supplier contributions to quality concerns on Moving Parts
Identify and improve gap/flush/seal gap concerns on Moving Parts
Monitor weld quality on supplier components and MIP assemblies, and track improvement items
Monitor accuracy of supplier Moving Part components and MIP assemblies
Coordinate with Supplier Development Specialist to provide updates to supplier scorecards
Coordinate 4M changes and ISIR approvals
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in quality control and supplier quality experience preferably at an OEM in body-in-white automotive manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple priorities and time frame.Possess strong self-responsibility.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in making recommendations, exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.
Strong problem solving, technical, planning, organizational and decision-making skills and experience in the area of quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required
Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
Experience with SAP system preferred.
