    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an OK or compact RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

    Responsibilities
    Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
    Care for a diverse population of patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
    Day shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week
    Level 1 Labor & Delivery experience is required
    Patient assignments involve monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, and assisting with minor diagnostic procedures
    No local candidates accepted; must live outside a 50-mile radius
    Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients, interacting with families and supporting discharge planning
    Delegation of tasks to support staff as appropriate
    Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per scheduling needs
    Must be able to maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively with staff and patients
    Compliance with hospital dress code is required

    Requirements
    Active OK or compact RN license

    Current certifications:
    Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP, Advance Provider or Instructor level) from AHA
    Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
    Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required
    Minimum of one year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required; 2-5 years preferred
    Ability to respond effectively to diverse cultural and language needs of patients
