    HDR is looking for an Environmental and Natural Resources Lead to lead and develop our Environmental Sciences & Planning (ES&P) practice for the power, renewable energy, waste, and industrial markets. This position will be part of our Resources Business Group, and must be based out of our Atlanta, GA office. This position requires an experienced environmental professional with strong working knowledge of and relationships across Georgia's environmental regulatory landscape. They will manage environmental permitting projects and project teams in support of private sector energy and infrastructure project, and will act as a "seller/doer" for environmental services. They will work autonomously, and must be proficient in the preparation and management of environmental permit applications, natural resource assessments, and biological assessments. They will identify pragmatic and innovative solutions to exceed clients' expectations while also delivering projects within schedule and budget. On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be expected to:
    • Function as a senior environmental and natural resources lead for environmental permitting and related services.
    • Be responsible for overall project management, proposal and cost estimate development, budgeting and invoicing, and management of projects' financial key performance indicators to complete work on schedule and within budget.
    • Provide technical expertise in permitting, NEPA, and/or related environmental services in the RBG market and at project level.
    • Lead the assessment and documentation of project-related effects on environmental resources, either for permits or NEPA.
    • Lead and manage ecological field surveys and assessments, data interpretation, analysis, report writing, and agency coordination.
    • Direct the technical and administrative aspects of environmental studies, coordinate schedules, providing technical QA, and lead problem resolution.
    • Manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently with very little to no assistance from senior staff.
    • Provide QAQC and technical guidance on development of deliverables and implement QAQC procedures to promote high quality work.
    • Lead the growth of HDR's environmental program through development of client relationships and identification of opportunities for expansion of our environmental services.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with other staff and clients including task delegation, client and internal project meetings, and coordination with scientific and engineering teams and regulatory agencies.
    • Establish client relationships and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
    • Perform other duties as necessary.
    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications
    • BS or MS degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, or related filed
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with environmental programs, NEPA and/or permitting including developing plans, writing proposals, developing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for complex environmental projects with multi-disciplinary teams and multi-agency efforts required
    • Experience with wetlands, fisheries, terrestrial, water quality, and other related studies
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as an ability to work in a team environment
    • Must be a seller/doer with experience marketing clients and proven client relationships
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior experience managing teams and staff is a plus
    • Local candidates are preferred
