    The Shipping and Receiving Technician is responsible for, but not limited to driving, shipping, receiving, and delivering supplies, materials and equipment, and maintaining inventory control and records; perform all other related work.

    **Duties & Responsibilities:** All duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    1. Shipping and receiving. Typical duties include receiving and unloading freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checking for damaged goods; verifying quantity and quality of order; verifying items received with purchase order; wrapping, packing, and shipping supplies; delivering and retrieving supplies to and from work sites or storage areas; tagging and issuing supplies; stocking shelves and rotating inventory; may receive, store, and ship flammable, explosive or caustic and hazardous material; may maintain equipment and vehicles.

    2. Inventory maintenance and clerical. Typical duties: participates in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard; maintains inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received; operates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information; answers phones and provides information using customer service skills; may provide advice regarding supplies or property including price and availability; may prepare damage claims for supervisor's review and signature; may coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.

    3. Delivery driver. Typical duties include: delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes; follow routes and time schedule; load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle; Complete logs and reports; follow DOT regulations and safety standards.

    Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

    Follow company policies, procedures and processes

    Maintaining your personal work area in a clean and orderly manner.

    Wearing, maintaining and properly storing your personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Attending all safety training that your employer offers.

    Volunteering to serve on your Safety Committee.

    Using safe work practices to eliminate slips, trips and falls.

    Lifting safely and helping others to do the same.

    Labeling all chemical containers and becoming familiar with material safety data sheets.

    Knowing evacuation procedures and the location of emergency equipment.

    Manage personal time including vacation and sick time

    ** Education and Experiences**

    Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position

    Experience in operating forklifts

    Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data

    Solid understanding of health and safety regulations

    Basic math and recording abilities

    Excellent organizational skills

    Great communication and interpersonal abilities

    Keen eye for detail

    Ability to operate a forklift

    Valid Driver's License

    CDL Class B Driver's License preferred

    DOT Regulations

    Proficiency with Microsoft Excell and Word
