- Performs initial examination of all patients including assessing visual acuity, obtaining medical/ophthalmic history, measuring optical power, retinoscopy and refraction.
- Performs diagnostic and other ophthalmic testing procedures on patients, such as ultrasonography, perimetry, visual function (VER, ERG, EOG, and Dark adaptonmetry), biometry, tonometry and tonography. May also be trained in other instrumentation.
- Schedules patient appointments testing. Maintains records and appropriate statistical data.
- Maintains and calibrates equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition.
- Assists professional staff with examinations and minor surgery including instructing patients on Physician's orders.
- Performs related duties, as required.

Job Responsibility
*High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
*Ophthalmic Technician certification, preferred. -OR-*Minimum of two (2) years full time Ophthalmic Technician experience.

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $30.72-$33.57/hour
