- Stay updated on the HME products and services offered by the company and relevant regulations
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Educate customers on the proper usage and maintenance of equipment
- Document all activities related to equipment setup, delivery, or pickups
- Handle customer equipment issues during emergencies
- Process orders accurately and promptly
- Promote company services and products to potential referral sources
- Ensure proper documentation for reimbursement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain home oxygen systems through regular visits
- Drive and maintain company vehicles safely
- Conduct patient assessments and provide necessary care
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
- Report equipment hazards or incidents
- Assume on-call duties as per company policy
- Follow safety protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
- Participate in compliance training and educational programs
- Adhere to company's Compliance Program
- Clean equipment as assigned
- Perform any other duties as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Background in sales or customer service is essential
- Prior experience in delivery, sales, or healthcare is a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Perform physical labor including bending, stooping, and stretching
- Long periods of sitting and driving
- Work in varied environments that may be stressful or unsanitary at times
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious pathogens
- Travel independently as required
- Deal with various customer situations effectively
- Maintain mental alertness and strong communication skills
