- Develop and qualify analytical methods to measure and monitor key quality attributes for AAV therapeutic materials.
- Execute cell-based and molecular analytical test methods to support the process development of AAV pipeline candidates.
- Support the development of AAV manufacturing platforms by executing relevant test methods.
- Independently troubleshoot methods and implement new analytical instrumentation and technologies.
- Communicate results and research progress during team and departmental meetings.
- Prepare, write, analyze, and present technical data and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in patient-focused research.
- Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry or a related field, with a strong academic record (Magna Cum Laude, GPA 3.61).
- Professional experience as a Research Associate, including method development and analytical testing in the context of AAV therapeutics.
- Strong background in cell culture techniques, molecular biology techniques (e.g., RT-qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction), and immunological assays (e.g., flow cytometry).
- Proficient in laboratory software such as GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and MATLAB.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting data in both written and oral formats.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
- Experience in supervising and assisting other researchers in a laboratory setting.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of laboratory equipment and procedures, including microscopy, centrifugation, and various chromatography methods.
- Familiarity with AAV therapy diagnostic methods, such as MSD ELISA, AUC, Mass Photometry, CE-SDS, ddPCR, qPCR, and Endotoxin testing.
- Previous involvement in independent research projects with a focus on cellular transformation and oncogenesis.
- Background in educational roles, such as laboratory and classroom teaching assistance.
