    Location: Oak Park, Illinois

    Position Type: Full-Time

    School Year:

    We are looking for a School-Based Physical Therapist for the upcoming school year

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Conduct Assessments: Evaluate students' motor skills, balance, coordination, and functional mobility to identify areas of need.
    • Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized physical therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
    • Provide Therapy Services: Deliver direct physical therapy services, including exercises, activities, and use of adaptive equipment, to enhance students' physical abilities and independence.
    • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals to integrate physical therapy goals into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and daily activities.
    • Monitor Progress: Track and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
    • Educate and Train: Provide training and resources to school staff and families on techniques and strategies to support students' physical development and participation in school activities.
    • Compliance: Ensure all therapy services comply with state and federal regulations, as well as school district policies.

    Requirements

    • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
    • Possess a valid Physical Therapy Illinois State License
    • Previous school experience is preferred, allowing you to hit the ground running and excel in this role.
