Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair semi-trucks and trailers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Perform routine semi-truck and trailer inspections and maintenance- including air brake inspection and repairs and anti-lock braking systems/ABS
• Conduct inspections to identify any potential problems or safety concerns
• Fabricate and weld parts as needed
• Provide labor and time estimates for repairs
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
• Perform HVAC repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment when necessary
• Align wheels and perform suspension repairs, including shocks and struts

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanics
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Customer service-oriented with good communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
