Job description

Director - Construction Services – Construction – Houston, TX, - ID#6695
The Opportunity
The Director – Construction Services provides strategic, operational, and technical leadership for PTAG's Construction practice, ensuring excellence in construction planning, field execution, constructability, safety oversight, and owner-representative services across major capital projects. Reporting to the Partner – Capital Projects, this role establishes PTAG's Construction Services as a key differentiator in the market while working within PTAG's Hybrid Operating Model to support regional and industry growth.

The Director is responsible for developing construction methodologies, leading pursuit and proposal contributions, building high-performing construction teams, and ensuring consistent alignment with PTAG's Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), PTAG Playbook, and Advanced Project Delivery (APD/I2PD) principles.

This role oversees a matrixed field organization—including Construction Managers, Superintendents, Field Coordinators, Inspectors, and Site Safety Advisors—who report to the Director for standards, training, safety, and discipline leadership, while receiving day-to-day direction through Regional leadership for project assignments.

With at least 15 years of progressive construction management experience across owner and contractor environments, the Director will champion safety, operational discipline, field readiness, and predictable project execution.

Construction Services may operate as a standalone service line when aligned with client opportunities, while also supporting PTAG's goal to deliver integrated project, construction, and advisory services.
