    Responsibilities:


    As a Senior Fleet Portfolio Analyst/Manager at GATX Corporation, you will have a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our railcar portfolio.

    This is an opportunity to work closely with a team of committed professionals, collaborating towards the success and competitiveness of our investment strategies.

    Your exceptional analytical skills will be utilized to identify the most effective investment opportunities and implement strategies to achieve exceptional outcomes

    Develop price/term structures and manage implementation of strategic initiatives intended to maximize economic returns of the existing railcar fleet.


    Work with the Sales organization to identify and negotiate the best outcome of leasing opportunities for existing railcars as they arise.

    Create and execute new railcar investment strategies to optimize portfolio performance.

    Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing railcar fleet, adjusting as necessary

    Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of strategies with overall business goals

    Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and market trends to inform investment decisions

    Create detailed reports and presentations to effectively communicate portfolio performance to relevant parties and senior management.


    Qualifications:

    Education and/or Experience Required:
    Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, engineering, and/or another quantitative discipline. MBA is preferred.

    3-7 years of experience (rail industry or equipment leasing) required, and experience directly managing railcar lease fleets is highly desirable

    Understanding of economics - project evaluation/decision-making is required

    Entry-level knowledge of railcar markets, customers, commodities, and lease structures is required.

    Basic technical knowledge of various rail car types, components, and industry regulations is a significant plus.
