    Description


    American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an outpatient sarcoma specialty clinic, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT-R certification.

    Details

    Outpatient clinic setting with one x-ray suite serving a sarcoma-focused patient population across subspecialties including orthopedic and thoracic oncology
    Primarily adult patients; pediatric patients are rare
    Clinic volume of approximately 75 patients per day, with roughly 25 x-ray visits daily; add-on patients are common throughout the day
    Patient population may include individuals who have had amputations or require ambulatory assistance
    No fluoroscopy, OR, or procedural imaging involved — x-ray only
    Imaging includes chest, neck, head, spine, and extremity studies


    EMR:
    Epic
    Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    No weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday requirements
    Requirements

    Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Tech experience in any setting
    Current BLS and ARRT-R certification required
    Active state license required if applicable
    Comfortable with patient positioning across a range of imaging studies including chest, neck, head, spine, and extremities
    Must be able to work independently, as the department may occasionally be staffed by a single technologist
    Strong interpersonal and soft skills required, including empathy when working with oncology patients
    Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
    Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
    Additional Information

    Department team includes 2 rad techs total, with clinical support from RNs, LPNs, and MAs available if an emergency arises or assistance is needed
    Patient Service Reps handle check-in for scheduled visits; manager/supervisor is available on site
    Orientation includes new employee orientation (NEO) followed by 3 days of department-specific training
    Opportunity to help precept students
    First-time travelers are welcome to apply
    Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
    RTO requests must be approved through the manager
    Black scrubs required
