    WinnMed is seeking to hire a full time Nursing Director - Clinic Specialty Services The Director is accountable for the implementation of the vision, mission and values of WinnMed. The Nursing Director plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the operational, fiscal and staff activities to ensure the provision of high-quality care in ambulatory and procedural settings. The individual contributes to the strategic planning process, and attainment of goals for the organization. This position is accountable for multiple specialty clinic areas and has full time management responsibilities of clinical nursing staff. The Nurse Director is responsible for the nursing component of the budget and allocates available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate nursing care based on current standards of practice.

    The Nursing Director will:

    • Manage, supervise, and coordinate the daily nursing care of the Clinic Specialty Services and provide leadership to clinicstaff.
    • Develop and implement a staffing plan to ensure delivery of safe, quality patient care.
    • Ensure nursing clinical practice is consistent with professional nursing practice standards, applicable legal statutes, and state regulations addressing nursing practice in the ambulatory setting.
    • Act as a resource and facilitate collaboration between nursing staff and other health care disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community.
    • Ensure compliance and nurse participation with established organization policies, procedures, process improvement activities, safety, environmental and infection control practices incompliance with Joint Commission, State of Iowa, and other regulatory agencies.
    • Collaborate and communicate with the Nursing Director - Clinic Family Practice and the Practice Operations Director in all activities supporting the effective and efficient operations of the department and staff by ensuring treatments, care, and clinical guidelines are being carried out in a manner supportive of patient care and recovery, in accordance with operational and strategic plans.
    • Promote ongoing development of staff and maintain a professional environment in which all staff can grow and develop.
    • Develop programs that foster continued clinical competency of staff to positively impact patient care and staff satisfaction.

    Work Location:This position will be located on the WinnMed Campus in Decorah.

    Requirements:

    • Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) required.
    • BLS certification required.
    • Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
    • Minimum of three years of nursing leadership experience required.
    • Previous experience in a clinic setting preferred.
    • Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
