    Vacancy for Senior Project Manager - One Health


    Location:
    Wallingford - Remote/hybrid working considered with occasional travel to the office
    Job Summary

    Role Profile

    You will be a qualified project / programme manager with extensive experience in leading globally distributed programmes, within an international development or research context.

    You will excel in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work strategically, operationally and tactically, as required.
    Role Responsibilities
    Development and management of relevant procedures, structures (e.g.

    advisory group) and learning events; engage with grantees to explore opportunities to encourage integration of one health approaches and oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) staff support to streamline OH MEL across a donor funded portfolio of animal and plant health programs; and support relationship management amongst global OH community.

    Key accountabilities
    Deliver complete full-lifecycle project design and management for Programme projects, working with the Programme Leadership Team to manage the programme, and its outputs and outcomes, ensuring timely delivery;
    Own and develop processes for monitoring the progress of the programme and improving efficiency;
    Manage the budget and spend of the Programme, regularly reporting performance against plan;
    Maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders within impact-orientated networks;
    Ensure regular and ad-hoc reporting on projects, activities and tasks undertaken through the Programme;
    Work with other Programme staff to undertake outreach activities to potential partners, to communicate the work undertaken by the Programme and promote its value with Stakeholders and the wider public;
    Promote an inclusive, diverse, open, sustainable and safe working environment;
    Engaging collaboratively in cross-organisational learning.
    Knowledge, Skills & Experience
    Knowledge and experience of scientific research and scientific research stakeholders.
    In-depth knowledge of programme and project management methods and principles (ideally Prince2 qualified);
    Exceptional leadership and organisational skills;
    Able to work across cultures and geographic boundaries;
    Ability to manage a team and stakeholders;
    Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
    Good interpersonal and leadership skills;
    Attention to detail and time management skills.
    Background in International Development;
    Experience with One Health.
    Education & Qualifications
    Post-graduate degree in: public health, international development, project management or other related subject.
