    Description
    Duties


    • Prepares and disseminates local information security guidance as determined from higher level directives and regulations.
    • Provides OCONUS level 1 security briefings to contractors and government personnel travelling outside of the United States.
    • Maintains Personnel Security Program for a 100% cleared work force.
    • Serves as a security specialist who is responsible for the development and implementation of a multi-disciplined security programs to protect the collateral and/or classified information
    Requirements Conditions of Employment


    • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
    • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
    • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
    • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain Antiterrorism Level II certification within 180 days of employment.
    • Must be able to attain OPSEC Level II certification within 6 months of employment.

    Specialized experience is defined as experience serving as a Security Specialist for three (3) or more of the security programs such as: Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Operations Security, Industrial Security, Antiterrorism, and Foreign Disclosure
    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-11)
    Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled
    Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series
    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
