- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley (Logix 500/5000), VB Net, HMI Programming, SQL, AutoCAD
- Meet with customers to understand control system requirements
- Analyze design requirements and recommend methods to achieve them
- Design control system functionality to address or improve the customer process
- Create final quote documentation for every assigned project opportunity
- Specify hardware and software system components that will support the recommended system
- Responsible for creating and obtaining approval of wiring schematics and control panel layouts
- Design human-machine interfaces (HMI)
- Write PLC/human-machine interface and other source code
- Simulate and debug written code
- Start up and debug code and system functionality at customers' facilities
- Prepare as-built documents for distribution to customer's engineering staff
- Mentor junior level engineering staff.
