Job Description

The Ground Support Equipment Worker will provide depot level maintenance, repair, and testing of assigned powered support equipment including disassembly, inspection, overhaul, and troubleshooting. The Ground Support Equipment Worker will disassemble a variety of powered support equipment, examine parts for wear, breakage and corrosion. The Ground Support Equipment Worker will determine repairable and non-repairable parts and order replacement parts. The Ground Support Equipment Worker will inspect, troubleshoot, and evaluate the extent of repairs required for a variety of powered support equipment and related components. The Ground Support Equipment Worker will perform maintenance, troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair assigned electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, to include all subsystems, on a variety of powered support equipment. The Ground Support Equipment Worker will properly use and maintain all hand tools, specialty tools, precision measurement equipment, testing equipment and other assigned test/specialized tools. All work will be accomplished within established time frames IAW all applicable WCDs, Air Force TOs, OIs, and AFIs.
